Concept

Text

Dedicated to Juan Downey, one of the most emblematic Chilean artists of the second half of the 20th century, this publication contains the most comprehensive compilation of his works to date, along with new critical studies carried out by renowned specialists.

Structured in two sections, the first half collects Juan Downey’s work in chronological order and presents a diverse collection of ephemera such as photographs, invitations and diary fragments, as well as an anthology of Downey’s written works. The second section contains new essays by well-known specialists that approach the Chilean’s short but prolific career from different angles.
