Concept

Text

This dynamic graphic identity was the product of a digital and analog process inspired by the intersection between different visual systems: from the printing error to the glitch, which takes as reference the printed error in the photocopy of fanzines, the manipulation of painting, the textures of photography, film, video and digital image, creating a visual portrayal of the role of image loss in the approach of the symposium. It revisits the lettering used in the “The End” title cards of Mexican Golden Era and classical Hollywood films, typographies that were delayed, digitized and manipulated to achieve an evocative effect.

Drawing on the references of the audiovisual program proposed by directors Jesse Lerner and Rubén Ortiz Torres, the graphic identity and visual communication of this edition was a collaborative project between the directors and Estudio Herrera.
